YfTI’s agenda revolves around championing the cause of youth-driven environmental and sustainability initiatives. We seek to amplify the voices of the youth in global climate discussions and address pressing development issues in Africa, with a primary focus on Nigeria. Our agenda includes fostering a climate-smart generation through empowerment, creative dialogues, and innovations. Additionally, we strive to promote quality education, gender equality, and climate action, working collaboratively to achieve the broader goals of the Sustainable Development Agenda.
Vision: “Empowering the Youth for a Sustainable Future”
Mission: Building a climate-smart generation across Africa and beyond, by empowering and equipping the African youth to become agents of positive change through active participation in environmental and sustainability efforts, creative dialogues, interventions, and innovations, poised to address key development issues affecting the African landscapes.
Goal: Fostering climate education, energy transition, and climate action among African Youth and beyond and contributing to the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13, SDG 4, SDG 7, SDG 12, and SDG 6.
YfTI EBACI objectives include;
E: Empowering youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources to participate in environmental and sustainability initiatives actively.
B: Build a climate-smart generation of young leaders who are environmentally conscious, committed to sustainable practices, and capable of catalysing and effecting change in society.
A: Advocacy and Awareness for climate action, education, and sustainability through creative dialogues, interventions, and awareness campaigns.
C: Collaboration and Partnerships with like-minded organizations, stakeholders, and communities in addressing environmental and ecological issues in Africa and beyond.
I: Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals through active engagement in projects and initiatives that contribute to the achievement of YfTI goals.
Organizational Ethics and Operational Guidelines
The purpose of the YfTI policy guide is to provide an outstanding, quality workplace where the organization can accomplish its objectives with young people. YfTI OOGE aims to offer our target population and communities a safe, moral workplace for best practices, and engagement procedures in building an environment of trust.
